Windows 10: Windows 10 2004 Update - S Mode ?

I installed the latest 2004 update on my Windows Home PC running in normal mode - restarted PC and now it's in S Mode. I tried to do the store, one time only, conversion BACK to normal mode but get an error to do with 'too many devices 10, remove one to continue' ?? - unable to pass this point


Why has it restarted in S Mode ? and what devices is it whinging about ? My web searches don't find any mention of this error/issue. I've recovered back to 1909 for now as need my PC for work - forgot to screenshot the error popup window.


Will try the upgrade again later and if the issue persists.


Any help will be greatly appreciated !

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Is there any way i can get Flight simulator 2004 to run under windows 10.

I suggest you to reinstall the Flight Simulator 2004 in compatibility mode and check if it helps.

Follow the steps below on how to install game in compatibility mode:

1. Download the installation files from the manufacturer’s website and save it on your local disk.

2. Right click on the setup file of the driver and select “Properties”.

3. Select “Compatibility” Tab.

4. Place a check mark next to “Run this program in Compatibility mode” and select operating system from the drop down list.
