Windows 10: Windows 10 2004 update stalls at 91% 5 times from June to August 2020.

The subject says it all. I have tried on multiple occasions to install 2004 but every time it stalls on 91%. I have left it in this state for up to 12 hours to no avail. Is this ever going to be fixed?

Did as you instructed. There are no updates showing other than the latest ones from June 24th and 25th 2020. It is almost as if there was a new install on the date of the 2004 update. All history (driver updates, security patches, cumulative updates, windows
10 versions etc etc prior to June 24th is gone. Any other suggestions or is it just a live with it situation.

IMO, no.

Additionally, there has also been a change in how Microsoft handles attempted forced installs of the ISO on a system that has a block.

I was able to force install it in early June, and I tested it for a couple days before rolling back to 1909.

It will now stop the install, tell you your PC is not ready, and gracefully exit the installer.

So that's a "tell".
