Windows 10: windows 10 20h2 failed to update error 0xc19001e1

I've been trying to get my computer updated but I get the error message 0xc19001e1. I'm not very technical but I can follow directions and got to the point where I did sfc scan in command and it said I had some corrupted files so I assume that's what's preventing it from updating but I don't know how to fix it. Can someone help me so I can get my computer to update?

V2004 Error 0xc19001e1 But Macrium Saves the Day

I had got the same error (0xc19001e1) during the Windows 10 1903 update. I tried a few methods from an article I saw online, and I think these methods might work for Windows 10 2004 update as well. The article (How to Fix Windows Update Error 0xc19001e1) suggested me to update my display driver. Despite not knowing the relationship between the Windows update error and display driver, I tried it since I was desperate to solve the update error. Surprisingly, it did solve my issue. I hope it can solve yours.

 

Windows Update 1903 failed, Error Code 0xc19001e1

I'm trying to help my mom update her computer. She has a Lenovo E540 laptop. It runs Windows 10, 64-bit version. It is currently on 1803.

It has apparently be trying to update to 1903 for a while, and keeps failing. She did not think it was a big deal, but now it is telling her that her version will soon be unsupported.

I have tried numerous ways to get this update to complete. In every instance, it finishes the entire process and fails when the computer restarts to finish installation. Error code 0xc19001e1

System meets all minimum requirements.

I have not attempted to update with an ISO yet, as she didn't have the necessary media on hand to do that. That will be my next step.

In the interim, I have pulled her update log files to see if there is something else going on. Can anyone assist?

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
