Windows 10: Windows 10 20H2 - Network printers all going offline

2 computers now updated to 20H2 on our business network. Have set up network printers using TCP/IP addresses without problems in past. Have been able to install all printers no problem, but now getting problem where printers are going offline. Only solution is to run a quick batch file that stops printer spooler and then restarts printer spooler, then can print to the printers. Problem keeps occurring. Anyone have any ideas?

I suggest you to follow the below given methods and see if that helps.

Method 1:

I suggest you try
changing the printer’s status from “offline” to “online” and check if it resolves the issue.

Method 2:


If the issue persists, I would have you download and run the HP Scan doctor from the manufacturers website. Refer to the article and follow the suggestion on
Resolving Printer Offline problem using the HP Print and Scan Doctor.


Method 3:


If the issue persists, I suggest you refer to the article
Troubleshooting offline printer problems
and perform the troubleshooting steps mentioned and see if that helps.

Networked Printer showing "Offline"

Hey guys,

I'm having a slight issue with one of my printers in that it's showing offline and I can't print to it.

It's a Datamax label printer which is connected to my network via a Netgear print server, this has then be added to one of my servers for sharing etc.

So far I've tried the below.

- Classic on/off.
- Removing from server and re-adding.
- Ensuring that under port configuration SNMP Status is disabled.
- Assigning to different IP.
- Restarting Print Spooler.

I can ping it fine and the printer itself is letting me do manual test prints using its interface, but no matter what I cannot get it to stop showing up as offline and allowing me to print to it over the network. I should add that it's worked fine for the past year.

Any suggestions?

 

Windows 20H2 - All Printers Offline - Need to Restart Print Spooler Every Time to Print

I updated to Windows 10 Pro 20H2 through the Windows 10 October 2020 Update Assistant. Every since, whenever I go to print something, I find the printers are offline and won't print. The only way to get something to print is to go to Services and restart
the Print Spooler. Every print job is this way. It was not like this before the update to 20H2. Any suggestions?
