    Windows 10 20H2 Optimize Tool Not working Properly


    Hello All

    Just discovered on my Windows 10 Pro 20H2 Desktop, Intel I7 10700, Clean install on Christmas with the new M.2 SSD, and newer Game 1TB SSD, and newer 4TB WD Black Hard drive to up my storage needs, it's been over 30 days since it autoly optimized the SSD's or Retrimed

    I have it set for Scheduled on, Monthly

    System is on over night most of the time, so no reason why it couldn't run

    We appreciate your earnest effort to reach out with Microsoft Community. We understand that the optimizer is not working properly, and that you wanted to get the issue resolved. To get you sorted, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Were there changes made prior to the issue?
    • When did the issue start to happen?
    • Are you referring to an optimizer app on Windows 10?
    • Do you get an error message? If so, kindly provide the exact error message.
    • What are the troubleshooting steps that you have done in an attempt to get the issue resolved?

    Disk optimization scheduling in Windows 10

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.


    • In search select Defragment and optimize drives

    • Click on change settings

    • In optimization schedule

    • In frequency select the options accordingly.

    Windows 10 20H2 Optimize Tool Not working Properly

    Windows 10 Snipping Tool on Windows 7

    All it is is one extra step beyond what is native to windows 10. Yes, technically it would be easier to have the functionality of print built in to the Windows 7 version, but you just have to save it ,and right click on it ,and print.

    As far as getting the windows 10 version into windows7. I know there was a way to get the old winpaint, so maybe there's a way to get the snipping tool into 10, I don't know.

    im curious if i could compress, and upload the application to this post? 7zip doesnt seem to be allowed
