Windows 10: Windows 10 21H1 0xC1900101 0x20017 SAFE_OS failure

After updating several machines successfully without issue, I hit three in a row which failed once they advanced to the "reboot and continue" portion of the update. The solutions I ended up using are indeed just variations on solutions that have been used before, but just wanted to share specifically what had helped in my case. Note in all of these cases, I'm updating with the .ISO image or with a USB created via Microsoft's MediaCreationTool.On my Dell Precision 5510, it's a matter of "the USB stick with the Windows 10 installation set is still present at reboot, there will be a problem."

Windows 10 0xc1900101 0x20017

I tried upgrading to Windows 10, and I was reverted back to Windows 7 and got this:

0xC1900101 - 0x20017

The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation

What can I do to solve this issue?

when upgrading on a Dell Tower using the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to upgrade current system.

I followed two suggestions from another response I had read.

Uninstalled the virus scanner and unplugged all USB connections other than mouse and keyboard. This worked in my case.

Hey, Samsung users mentioned an wifi card compatibility issue which gives the same error and prevent installation. Maybe your case is similar.
