Windows 10: Windows 10 21H2 19044.3324 to 22H2 upgrade fails

Hello--My notebook is at 19043.1288 now. Why have I not seen an update for 21H2 19044?

When will 21H2 19044 be released to the Update Channel?

I understand it will update like the previous Quality updates.

 

Upgrading from Windows 10 1709 to 21H2 fails

I have an HP laptop with AMD 6-9225 Radeon R4 that has never been upgraded from its original Windows 10 ver. 1709. I have attempted to upgrade it to the latest Windows 10 ver. 21H2, but the install fails every time. I have followed every suggestion I can find on the internet, hoping someone could steer me to success but to no avail. I'm not sure if this particular HP laptop is capable of being upgraded to 21H2. It does not appear in a list on the HP website of those models that was tested for 21H2 compatibility. I really would like to try an earlier version such as 1909 or 2004 to see if they would install okay, but I can not find a way to do that. When I use the Create Windows 10 installation media tool, it automatically goes to 21H2. It doesn't give me the option to choose an earlier version. I thought maybe I could get an earlier version from the Microsoft Update Catalog, but I have no idea how to find it in the thousands of downloads listed there. Does anyone know if there is a way to download and install an earlier version of Windows 10? Your help will be appreciated.

OK thanks, I still managed to get it on 22H2, takes 2 extra steps. Uninstall the 22H2 Enablement package, let W.U. install KB5016688 and after that W.U. offers the 22H2 enablement package again. Edition Windows 10 Pro Version 22H2 Installed on ‎5/‎18/‎2021 OS build 19045.1947 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4180.0
