Windows 10: Windows 10 22h2 - BSOD - Blue Screen of Dealth - Hard Lock - Soundmax Card - Dell Precision...

Good Morning,Since Friday October 27, I have been experiencing a rash of BSOD across our Organization. I have about 300 old Dell Precision T3500 PCs and all have a SoundMAX Integrated Digital High Definition Audio sound card in them. I have another couple hundred different model PCs as well, but none of those have had any issues. The only ones that are experiencing issues are the T3500s.If you have anything plugged into the audio port round green audio jack on the sound card, like speakers for example you will eventfully get a BSOD, or a hard lock where everything is just frozen. Dell Mobile Precision 5540 is Blue Screening

Dell Mobile Precision 5540 is Blue Screening. End-User is creating a model in Autodesk Powershape 2022 when issues occur. We have designated the NVidia card for use by Powershape though the Windows 10 Graphics Settings and the NVidia Control Panel, but it still Bluescreens. Keep in mind that the bluescreening while using Powershape may be totally coincidental. I have pulled the minidump file if requested.

 

Dell Precision 3520 and Smartcard Login

I have a Dell Precision 3520 with a FIPS-compliant fingerprint reader and smartcard reader built-in. I'm currently using the Dell security software to manage this.

Has anyone used Windows to set up a smartcard login and set it up so that as soon as the smartcard is removed, the screen is locked? I would like the ability to insert the card to unlock the screen and remove it to lock it.

Is this possible, and if so how do I configure it?

 

Windows 10 BSOD freeze after sleep + blue screen on boot

I had the following problem:

I just fresh installed Windows 10 on my ThinkPad t450s and crashed after every sleep.

When the laptop is in sleep mode and I open it and press a key to wake it up:

• BSOD appears directly saying "Your PC ran into a problem and needs a restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you. (0% complete) - [...] CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED";
  
• OR login screen appears but everything is laggy and then the BSOD appears;
  
• OR once I've got as far as the desktop using the fingerprint device, but then the BSOD appeared, this time without the error name.
  

Never did the percentage change from 0% before the computer rebooted.

I updated the graphic card drivers and the Wi-Fi drivers, deactivated the quick boot and tried many bizarre suggestions from the internet, but nothing helped.

Now since the last sleep crash:

The computer doesn't work at all, it shows an empty blue screen after each startup.

I tried to repair Windows using the Windows 10 USB stick, but it fails to find anything wrong or to restore a previous build.

I found this post suggesting to delete a driver but I don't know how to do it as my drive is encrypted using BitLocker and the command prompt is telling me to use to control panel to unlock it.
