    Windows 10 22H2 repeatedly updates despite the device already running 22H2


    Windows update keeps prompting to update to Windows 10 22H2, but after using winver to see the version, Windows is already running 22H2. Checking both the update history and about computer page in settings gives the same result of the 22H2 already installed. Running troubleshooter did not resolve the issue.This is not the only update error with the device. The Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5, 4.8 and 4.8.1 for Windows 10 Version 22H2 for x64 KB5028937 also repeatedly fails to update, and cannot install. Error: 0x80073712Computer: HP Notebook - 15-bs058caProcessor: Intel Core i5-7200

    Win 11 22H2, Windows Update repeatedly trying to install 22H2

    Win 11 Windows update is set to automatically update. Failed installing the 2022-11 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5020044)

    Failed to install on 06/12/2022 - 0x800f0988

    It is now repeatedly trying to install Windows 11 version 22H2 (asking for a reboot) and failing (with error 0x80246007), despite Windows Update informing me that 22H2 was installed successfully on the 21/09/2022 (also System>About, reporting that windows 11 home version 22H2 , installed on 21/09/2022 OS build 22621.521)

    What can I do to fix Windows Update?

    If you can't install it from windows update you can try to install it manually, it's the same KB5015684 obtained with windows update.

    Windows 10 feature update 22H2 installation problem.

    I have an Asus desktop 8.00 GB of RAM running Windows 10 Home 64-bit. It automatically downloaded and installed version 21H2, no problems. It recently downloaded version 22H2 , which is showing on the list of successfully installed updates. However it repeatedly attempts to download and install version 22H2 but is continually unsuccessful and shows error message 0x800f0922. Under Windows specifications the version showing is 21H2. Version 22H2 may have been installed but it seems that it has not been recognised. I have run sfc/scannow as administrator. I have no issues with my internet connection. I have turned off my firewall. All the .NET Framework boxes in Windows features are ticked. Other remedies please? Philip.
