    Windows 10 22H2 update fails, all solutions seems to have been tried


    HiHaving a PC with Windows 10 32bit. For a long time we have tried to update it to 22H2, but it fails every time.SFC, DISM, install from USB, DVD, Windows Update assistant etc.All updated to drivers that i can find has been installed, Bios upgraded and downgraded.When using assistant i got a little different code than before stating:0xC1900101 - 0x30018Installation failed FIRST_BOOT error SYSPRET_SPCIALIZEThe error code from Windows is 0x800f0841Also had "The system registry contains invalid file paths" at one point, i removed all other than the standard ones. But with no luck.I tried to chang

    How to get the Windows 10 2022 Update version 22H2 Win Update

    If you can't install it from windows update you can try to install it manually, it's the same KB5015684 obtained with windows update.

    Windows 10 fails to update


    When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

    Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

    I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

    How to get the Windows 10 2022 Update version 22H2 Win Update

    I wish things are that simple. My error code was 0x80246017, and I don't have KB5020435 installed so it's a dead end. BTW, MS lists like 6 or 7 error codes of the format 0x8024xxxx on the "troubleshooting WU problems", and when you chose next step, it suggests generic steps: run WU troubleshooter, check if your disk has no errors, is your remote disk is accessible, etc. Same as MS community; each similar error has completely different cause and (re)solution.
    MS in notorious for this- if it works then OK, if it doesn't then good luck.
