Windows 10: Windows 10 22H2 update has left me unable to log in!

Hi,I have an old laptop Win7 that had gotten corrupted a year or two ago. I decided to have another go at breathing new life into it this weekend.I found my system restore disc, and got Windows 7 up and running. To no surprise, most thing I tried to do threw up an error saying that Windows 7 isn’t supported. I decided to upgrade to Windows 10.I have a usb iso for Windows 10, and ran the Setup file direct from that, and successfully installed Windows 10 Home. This was linked to/signed in with my Microsoft account. I was the sole user account on the system with admin rights as you’d expect.

How to get the Windows 10 2022 Update version 22H2  

If you can't install it from windows update you can try to install it manually, it's the same KB5015684 obtained with windows update. Feature update to Windows 10, version 22H2 Failed to install on ‎9/24/‎2023

I recently did a clean install of windows 10 pro which has been fine since 2017. The only issue is installing the feature update 22h2. It goes through the download and install but after the restart it says it failed to install and it starts all over again.

I found a similar issue titled "Feature update to Windows 10, version 22H2 Failed to install on ‎3/10/‎2023 0x8007001f"

I followed the steps listed in the techs response however, I was unable to rename the folders in step 2 or resolve the issue.

Can you advise please. TIA

 

Windows 10 Tweaks

As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

• Launch the Store from your Start menu.
• Click the user icon next to the search box.
• Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
• Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
• When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”
