    Windows 10 22H2 x64 Windows Desktop Manager consuming too much memory.


    Hi there! I'm using Windows 10 22H2 Updated to the latest December 13, 2022—KB5021233 Cumulative update and I'm experiencing serious memory leaks with dwm.exe. Immediately after start, memory use of dwm.exe seems normal around 50 - 60 MiBs but as the time passes it goes up to several GiBs at times consuming over 2 GiBs of memory. I ransacked through the Windows community help forums & tried all the solutions provided but nothing seems to work. Then I came across Intel's forums https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000058381/graphics.html where they suggest to

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    If you can't install it from windows update you can try to install it manually, it's the same KB5015684 obtained with windows update.

    I installed the newest from intel.com after I removed it and booted into Windows 10.
    I will try memtest86+ and I will try Windows 10's own Windows Memory Diagnostic too.
