Windows 10: Windows 10 32bit to 64bit upgrade

I have a laptop that had windows8 and has been upgraded to Win 10, BUT is has 32bit version. Machine is 64 bit and I want to try 64 version. I see it requires clean install. I can do that FULL backup of course. What about my activation key? I believe the old keys do not work any more.Another point, What about disk crash. Would this mean that if one didn't have a full disk backup that a new OS key would be needed?ThanksDave

32bit to 64bit with windows 10 upgrade

When my 32bit windows 7 professional upgrade to 64bit windows 10 or will it be 32 bit still. I mistakenly had installed a 32bit OS but I have 16GB of ram. Would it be best to see what happens when it upgrades, then if it doesn't upgrade to 64bit, would
buying windows 7 64bit cheaply after the 29th still upgrade to windows 10 for free.

 

Windows 10 32bit and 64bit

I have two similar problems. I have several Windows 7 64bit systems and I need to switch back to 32bit because of driver issues. I have no problems with 32bit Windows 10 but it appears it will not allow me to update a 64bit W7 installation to a 32bit W10
installation.

In addition before we found the driver problem we upgraded several computers to Windows 10 64bit.

In both of these cases how do we change/update the installation? If I create an .iso file for a DVD will that allow a clean install from 64bit to 32bit?

Upgrade windows 10 from 32bit to 64bit

I have a 10 year old computer with 8GB memory that is capable of running a 64bit OS but it currently has a 32bit version of Windows 10, is it possible to upgrade to a 64bit OS ?
