Windows 10 appears to corrupt FAT

Please find below the answers to your questions:

• Yes, the PC we're using at our office are connected to a domain.
• Same issue occurs on different Windows 10 machines when the device is plugged in. However, the corruption doesn't occur when FAT[0] to FAT[4] are non-zero entries (check Style 1 above). When format from Windows 10, it sometimes fills up FAT[0] to FAT[4];
  sometimes FAT[0] to FAT[3]; sometimes FAT[0] to FAT[2]. Corruption occurs in later 2 cases. We haven't observed this behaviour on Windows 7 or 8.x.
• No. The firmware first fills up the flash memory with files. Populates FAT and root directory correctly. Then it exposes the drive to Windows and from that point onward the firmware doesn't do anything with the file system. Again, this is the same firmware
  and FAT corruption doesn't occur in Windows 7 or 8.x.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
