Windows 10: Windows 10 Activate

Hello my name is Gerald.I want to install windows 10 pro. But I still dont have a product key. What happens if I update the windows and install the updates ? Does it say activate windows before 30 day trial ends? And if i dont activate will my pc get refomatted? Thank you for your answers

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
