Windows 10: Windows 10 activation help.

Hi!

I just changed my motherboard and processor. I used my old ssd but the Win10 wouldn't activate due to hardware change. In troubleshoot, it was first giving server errors so I checked my microsoft account which showed my old mobo device and new one.

So the thing is, I accidentally deleted my old device expecting that my digital license would survive regardless and transfer to the other one, but it didn't. I don't have a product key of win8 or 10 as I got the free upgrade. The only thing I had was my digital license linked to my account but it just doesn't show up anywhere now.

Any suggestions regarding its retrieval? The customer service made it quite rudely clear that they can only help in the presence of a product key. I am lost now and don't know what to do.

Windows 10 Activation (Insider)

How long did you wait for activation?
When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
However, it did, finally, activate.

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?

or you could hack it with a crack but please note this is always risky and you don't know what's in the hack
