Windows 10: Windows 10 Activation on new Microsoft laptop

I just bought a new microsoft surface laptop. I cant manage to activate my windows 10 as i cannot find my product key anywhere that I should be able to see it. I have tried calling and getting in touch with somone online for help and nothing has worked. I need certain apps for university tomorrow!! Please can someone help me asap

it would've been great if microsoft added HEVC decoders, LAV filters along with other codecs with Windows 10, and developing WMP to be better than VLC, KMPlayer and such sorts of media players.

Nevertheless, this is good step for microsoft, by far.

• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
