    Windows 10 activation problem.


    Hi everyone. I recently acquired a laptop that has not been used for while. It has an fresh Windows 10 Home installation that is not activated.What I have found is that this laptop was sold with Windows 8.1and I think it has never been upgraded to Windows 10 Home. Below is a copy of the ShowKeyPlus screen. I just would like it confirmed that the OEM key for this laptop has indeed expired. Final question is how do I now activated this system?***not sure if the ShowKeyPlus screen has been inserted correctly.If not the OEM key for this laptop is62NCR-2C7CQ-G9CYP-Q33FY-R6XF3ThanksChris

    Windows 10 Activation (Insider)

    How long did you wait for activation?
    When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
    However, it did, finally, activate.

    I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

    When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
    is that causing the problem?

    Thank you for posting your reply.

    I suggest you to activate the copy of Windows 10 via phone by following the steps below:

    • Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
    • Select your Region/Country.
    • Select the Phone Activation option, and hold on for a real person.
