Windows 10: Windows 10 activation problems

So, an hour ago I bought a Windows 10 product key and I wanted to install win10 for the first time on my new laptop. Everything went well, I input my key and everything seems to be okay, I go on and make other settings like language and keyboard. Then, my computer runs out of battery so it shuts down. I quickly start charging it and the screen comes back on just where it was before. Okay, I'm like thank god I don't have to do the whole process again. A nice 10 minutes later I'm doing changes in the settings menu and I see that my windows is not even activated. I try activating again with my ke

How long did you wait for activation?
When I re-installed with a fresh install... it took a few hours to sync and activate.
However, it did, finally, activate.

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
