Windows 10: Windows 10 Activation

I have a purchased Retail channel licence for Windows 10 Pro, which was originally a W7 licence. This has worked fine for fresh installs of W10 up to now, but I have changed the motherboard and now cannot use my original retail product key.Here's what I did;Before changing the motherboard I checked the licence was shown as a retail licence with the Terminal command slmgr -dliIt is a retail licence. I then removed that licence using slmgr.vbs /upk which was confirmed and I checked this.However, this install still shows it has a digital licence and when you check the actual product key, it now s

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
