Windows 10: Windows 10 Activation

So I've had this laptop for a year now and I messed with something in the settings and I cant activate my windows key because the box that came along with the laptop is long gone. I've tried troubleshooter but it keeps on giving me error code "0x8007000d" My product has already been entered but I have no idea what it is. I use Windows 10 Home.

I won't buy a key, stupid.

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?
