Windows 10: Windows 10 admin and employee account permissions

Hello everyone! I am a small business owner and I purchased a new laptop for a new employee. I set up myself as the admin account on the machine and the employee as a local, standard account. I am trying to find out how to set it up so that at any time, I can log into this employee's windows local account to access documents, if need be. I want to set it up this way if the employee leaves the company or is terminate and I need to access documents saved locally.

How can I do that? Is it possible for an admin account to have this permission over another standard account? Thanks for the help.

How is the NAS on windows 10 Pro? Is it software or a share? Did you check ntfs vs share permissions?

I thought the fact that "Administrators" were listed in the permissions meant that all Admins had access, but apparently not. Now I added my specific login account, it works fine.

Thanks so much for your help, these UAC things in Windows are quite confusing, I am not (entirely) stupid!!

 

Windows 10 permissions...

Ok so I feel officially dumb I am trying to copy my steam library to my NAS. Both are on windows 10 pro and both have full control in the file manager. Neither windows nor fast copy will allow me to copy, both list a permissions error? This was never an issue with windows 7...so first off thank you microsoft god forbid I want to back up my data, second off what the heck do I need to do to make this work. All I could fine online was to set full control and that obviously didn't help.

Also robocopy doesn't apparently work with network locations?
