They should do the Mojave experiment with Windows 10, same out come. I know why people hate each new version of Windows, it's all the stupid so called expert journalists writing about Windows, they always rubbish each version and naturally everyone believes them because they're "Experts".

    Mojave for Windows 10 - that's a good idea.

The reason I said not as fast or stable as Windows 7 - I have the Samsung 840 Pro SSD in both my laptop and desktop, I don't get as fast performance speeds (according to Samsung Magician) with Windows 10. On my laptop on the Comcast speed test using the wireless adapter I was getting 160 to 170 mbps with Windows 7 and now with the latest version of Windows 10 I get 100 mbps. The older Windows 10 version was 140 to 150 mbps. Also, on a rare occasion on my desktop when I boot up I will get an error when I try to launch many programs they only way to clear this up is to reboot. As I said I do like windows 10 but hopefully Microsoft will fix the performance bugs and other bugs.

There are very few benchmarks where w10 outperforms w7. Be it ssd performance or cpu, gpu related. Not saying one is better than the other, I could use either and be happy to be honest.

Personal experience with "speed" on various devices with Windows 7, 8.1 and 10.
Fastest 8.1 Middle 10, Slowest 7. That is my perceived feeling of speed when using those systems. Benchmarks tends to confirm this (not all tough).
When talking about bugs and stability Windows 10 still has more problems on some systems, some systems just work and are quite stable. I replaced home server from 2008R2 to Windows 10 pro (upgrading server OS was to expensive for home use, and most server specific features isn't necessary) didn't had any stability issues running 24/7.

  7. Same here
Have had not trouble at all with 10 or the new Browser Edge.
Edge once you get used to it can get you anything and go anywhere you could with IE11 but without the freezes or crashes

I have a i7-5960x 8 core that runs Windows 7. It's my 800lb gorilla. I tried Windows 10 in a VM. Ran fine. However, I am waiting until the crap apps are uninstallable. You know. things like Windows Phone, XBox etc. It seems Microsoft listened when many of us on laptop and desktop PCs said we didn't want the touch screen interface. However, they completely missed the point that we won't be using our desktops, and most laptops, as mobile devices. If they want to default install all the mobile app garbage that's fine, but let me uninstall it. The start menu is a scroll fest. Having to splunk past all the useless apps just makes it that much more painful. Let us easily uninstall all those off our machines to help clean up navigation.

That said, I have a craptop that runs Windows 10. This thing doesn't have the power to run Windows 7 going downhill with the wind at its back. However, Windows 10 runs fine. While I hate my craptop, thus the name, I am impressed that Windows 10 runs just fine on it. Windows 10 really is a decent OS. Microsoft just needs to finish polishing the UI, maturing the Universal App Development platform, and migrating the rest of the security features from Windows Enterprise to Windows Pro.

What if I told you that you don't have the set up correct or you have problems with your hardware. IE11 does not freeze or crash on all my W10 or W7 machines and it is not intended to. ?

My laptop so did all the other ones I have all came with OS pre installed and IE11
So you are saying every single one IE11 was not set up right.
It Froze and crashed on every single system.
Two laptops were changed and even set up in the shop and IE11
    Still gave trouble.
BIOS and drivers where all up to date
Anyway since disabling IE11 and using Edge only
None of them have given us trouble since

Microsoft has been including its own AV protection inside Windows since Windows 8, actually. Windows 10, like OS X, has its own AV program, called Defender (Apple never named its internal AV and for years denied it had one--but every official OS X update contains AV patching.) You need not do anything in Win10 for AV--it will manage itself. Ditto, defrag. Windows includes a defrag utility but you set it for once a week, tell it which drives you want to defrag, and forget it--all your drives stay 100% optimized. Or don't set it at all and all drives are defragged automatically. Also, only time I ever do disk cleanup is when I install a new build and want to get rid of Windows.old.

You will find that one of the main differences between OS X & Windows is that while Microsoft lets the user interface with many settings and options, to customize the way it works, OS X does not allow that sort of thing. In OS X, just because you don't see it doesn't mean it isn't there--it just means that Apple is not exposing those functions to preferences that can be set by the user (like device drivers--they're as much a part of OS X as they are in Windows--but Apple hides them from the end user whereas Microsoft exposes them.) Apple prefers to make those decisions for you and if you don't agree that's too bad...*Wink It's one of the reasons I prefer Windows hands down.
