Windows 10: Windows 10-after hard reset clean install will not boot - black screen, Windows logo, no...

I did a "remove everything" reset on a Windows 10 Surface Go yesterday. Left it running overnight with charger plugged in as it had been running for hours and was only at 70%.This morning, it will not boot up. It alternates a few seconds at time between a blank black screen and one with a white windows logo only no spinning dots. It will not boot up or recognise any command. Only thing I can do is turn it off and on again. Tried turning off and on again several times to see if it would go to start up recovery but nothing. As there are no spinning dots, it's not even commencing start up

Gtx 460 black screen issue

I have an EVGA gtx 460 that has started acting odd. Every once in awhile I would get a black screen that would require a hard reset. Then eventually the other day, it wouldn't boot at all. It would boot to the windows logo and then black screen.

Replaced it with a spare card, booted up fine.

Put the 460 back in, black screen.

Booted in safe mode, boots fine.

Uninstalled driver and reboot to full windows... boots fine with no driver installed.

Reinstalled latest driver (was already on latest driver when this started) and rebooted. Black screen.

Booted into safe mode and uninstalled driver again.

Reboot to full windows, install old version of driver, reboot. Black screen.

Reboot to safe mode, uninstall driver, reboot to full windows install reeeeeaaally old version of driver. Reboot. Black screen....


So... the only time the card works is when there is no nvidia driver installed... weird.


Anybody got any ideas? I haven't tried testing it in a clean windows install yet, but that's my next step I guess.

 

Black Screen After Windows 10 Boot Logo On LAPTOP

hello

i've done a full clean install of a W10 Pro

and installed all of the driver's Via windows update

tbh im using this laptop as a spare for me when im going out ( very rare usage )

so nowadays

when im trying to boot up the laptop , sometimes it boots completly without problems

but mostly stuck's on a black screen after facing the win logo screen

but when i try to boot using safe mode , everything is okay and it boot properly

i've also disabled the dedicated gpu ( which is AMD Radeon HD 7670M )

it's HP Pavilion g6-2131se

replaced hdd with Crucial BX200 240GB
and ram with Ballistix Sport SODIMM 8GB Kit 4GBx2 DDR3 1866mhz

Sounds like the old... windows black screen of death.
