Windows 10, after March 2022 update system experiencing network drops

I'm using Windows 10 on Lenovo W550s with Norton 360. After a recent update my network dropped. Rebooting the system and router only fixed the network issues for a short time. I did a "Network Reset" that worked for about an hour. I gave up on wireless and began to use an ethernet cable, but after a day or so, I'm having issues again. After a few Windows 10 'Network Resets'', I tried:netsh winsock reset catalog netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log Hoping the above might do something a bit different and fix the issue. I also deleted the driver and rebooted to have the driver reload c

    :)

  2. windows 10 updates-March 2018

I have March updates that will not install. The automatic updates for 2018-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1709 for x64 based system (March KB4088776) were activated and downloaded to my computer, but they will not install on shutdown/restart.
When I check for updates, it shows that the updates are downloaded, but when I click to uninstall, there is not a date for installation. I have researched the Windows suggestions for this problem. They tell me to remove the January 2018 updates (January
KB4056892) and then reinstall the March update. When I attempted to uninstall the January update, I could see the update listed in the check for downloads screen, but when I click uninstall, the January update has a different reference number. Please advise.
I have talked to my technology department and they can't determine next steps either. VERY FRUSTRATING. I need my computer for work.

  4. Windows 10, after March 2022 update system experiencing network drops

    Network dropping?

I run AOL Instant Messenger and about every hour I get dropped from the program. I can still browse the web and I have even gone to the extent of PINGING the server I was connected to and it pings just fine even when I get dropped. I changed out my network card thinking that it may be a network card issue and that didnt resolve the dropping out of AIM.

I have also tried changing my network cable that goes into the back of the computer. I have power cycled the modem and router for my local network. I have also uninstalled and installed the latest version. This also happens to another one of my programs (but not necessarily at the same time). I have one other computer and one laptop on the same network and i've never had this issue on them.

Any other suggestions to diagnose what is going on? Could this be some piece of hardware such as memory or hard drive that could cause this?

No firewall either. Running Windows XP Pro!

    #######UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE########

    April 27 2010 UPDATE
tried a different version of java and also plugged directly into the modem and all night long the program DID NOT drop. This means I changed two variables.

Variable 1 ) Changed java version. It is possible the java version I was running didn't work very well
Variable 2 ) Plugged directly into the modem bypassing the router.

I'm going to hook my router back up (putting variable 2 back) and see if it drops. If it does, what in the world could be the problem as to me it would seem it would have something to do with variable 2? I've tried 3 different routers and the other systems on the network don't have this issue. PLEASE HELP!
