Windows 10: Windows 10: After system start chrome opens automatically and shows unwanted MSN.com page

Dear all,since a couple of weeks chrome starts automatically and shows an msn page. I was never asked to "enable" this feature... and really would like to disable it. What I did so far:- task manager -> autostart: nothing shown- configuration -> notifications & actions -> everything is disabled- chrom -> startup page set to "open new tab"- blocked domain msn.com in my router -> no content is shown anymore, but still crome is opend and tries to show the MSN pageAny other ideas...?Many thanks in advanceAnton

Google Chrome Opening a MSN page on Starting My Computer

Hi all,

Since yesterday whenever I turn on my PC Google Chrome (which is my default brower) automatically opens a MSN web page.

This is very annoying as I don't always want chrome to open, and I do not want to see the MSN website.

Does anyone know how to stop this happening?

I don't think its a virus as I've scanned to check.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Google Chrome Opening a MSN page on Starting My Computer

Right-click on your taskbar and click "Task Manager". At the top of the Task Manager click on the "Start-up" tab. Can you find "Google Chrome" in the list ? If yes right-click on it and click "Disable".
