Windows 10: Windows 10 - all folders are marked "read-only" causing Autocad routine errors. How to correct?

All of my folders are marked "Read-only Only applies to files in folders" in folder properties. However, the files are not locked and I can open and save without getting a "open as read-only" or "Save-as" pop-up. This causes problems for Autocad routines. How can this be corrected? The issue exist in all folders.This produces an error in Autocad while running a specific "Resave All Sheets" routine, stating that it cannot execute because "Folder or drawing is read-only." I've been running Autocad for 3 years with no issues until recently.This is an individual laptop not networked runing Wind

Original Title: Files/folders being marked Read Only

Within the last 10 days I've noted that files and folders are being marked Read Only. This has nothing to do with Permissions. I am Administrator on my own machine and all security settings are Full Control. It appears as though something in a recent
Windows Update has affected the copy/save routines so that files, when saved, are being marked Read Only. Read Only can be turned off, but it comes back for the same file if I copy/save an edited version.

I am not looking for a work around, rather an explanation as to what has changed and when it will be corrected.

 

Windows 10 and AutoCAD products

Yes, AutoCAD is working fine in Windows 10 so far.

If you face any issue while installing, I suggest you to install the setup in compatibility mode and check if it helps. Make sure that you run the setup files as an administrator. Right click Setup and click Run as administrator.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:

• 
  Right click the set up file and select Properties then tap or click the Compatibility tab.
  
• 
  Place a check in the Run this program in compatibility mode box.
  
• 
  Tap or click the drop down box and select a previous Operating System, then tap or click OK.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
