Windows 10: Windows 10 always show 1% CPU in task manager with Intel 10 and 11 gen processors.

Hi, i have tried some computers with Tiger lake and Ice lake processors and in the task manager i can always see 1% even if all the tasks show 0% individually.

I don´t have this problem with and old Skylake computer.


All the computers are with the latest windows 10 20H2 and a fresh install with all monthly updates applied.


Please Microsoft can you take a look on that problem? Thanks

Task Manager shows single CPU

Windows 7 used to show a CPU graph for each processor in Task Manager, but 10 by default shows just one graph for overall CPU utilisation. You can show separate CPU graphs in Task Manager if you wish, right-click on the graph and select Change graph to > Logical processors.

 

1 Cpu processor running instead of 8 processors

The spec shows an Intel Core i7-7700HQ which is a single processor with 4 Cores and 8 Threads.

Can you post a screenshot of Task Manager Performance tab and select CPU.

• Do other programs also show CPU 0 for Processor Affinity?
• What other applications use up the CPU in Task Manager? Please post a screenshot.
• Which build version of Windows 10 is on your computer? To check, click
  Start, type winver, and press Enter. For example, 14393.1066.
