  1. Windows 10 and ASUS Laptops

I saw the post from 2016 concerning Windows 10 and ASUS laptops. I had windows 10 on my ASUS ROG for over a year. A couple of months ago it did two different Window updates in a row, without asking. The second one crashed my machine. I am sick over this. I cannot understand why Microsoft takes it upon themselves to intermittedly do updates and have their OS crash expensive machines.

I now have a large paper weight. A very large expensive paper weight. I need to get several files off, then I guess I am putting linux on it.

Just like everyone else I will look at a mac laptop. Currently have a mac desktop, enjoy having a laptop to take with me in other rooms and traveling. Microsoft just cost me several thousands of dollars as ASUS was not cheap and now a MAC LAPTOP is not going to be cheap.

I would like an answer as to what is in the updates that causes the crashing on these machines?

Someone please answer this question if anyone knows.

    Thank you.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .
