Windows 10: Windows 10 and Canon MX310 scanning issues.

Has anyone figured out how to make a Canon MX310 printer/scanner/fax work with Windows 10. I know it's an old printer, but it still works great and I would sure like to be able to scan documents in with it. The printer works fine, it just won't scan, and Canon isn't apparently going to support it. I had an IT guy tell me that there should be some general use scanning driver I should be able to downnload, but I couldn't find it on the Canon website. I tried the Microsoft Scan app and it didn't work either.


Any help whatsoever will be better than I am at this point! Thanks for reading!

Canon MX310 printer

I have a Canon MX310. Since I upgraded to Windows 10, I have not been able to print from my PC. I have not found any avaiable drivers for this model on Canon's website. Does anyone have a suggestion?

 

Canon Pixma MX310 scan function will not work with Window 10 upgrade.

I am having problem with my Canon Pixma MX310 scan function. On Canon's site they say that "some models" will not have the scan function. Apparently mine is one of them, which pretty much makes my printer useless to me now. I use Canon ink only so that
is not an issue as Canon said it might be. Everything else works. Prints fine. If I use the scan button on the printer it scans the document and then prints it instead of putting it on my PC.

Does Windows 10 have a Windows Printer/Scanner function like previous O/S's had? I need my scanner to put thing on my PC and with the Window 10 upgrade the scan function doesn't recognize the printer. Will Microsoft be doing an update to fix this problem?

Otherwise I'll have to buy a whole new Windows 10 compatible printer/scanner. I'm not too pleased with having to fork out money for something that worked before the upgrade with Windows 7 sp1 64bit Home Premium.

Any ideas as to how this can be fixed?
