Windows 10: Windows 10 and Creators Ditching Useful Trouble-shooting Routines

Do people realise that with Windows 10 we can no longer tickle F8 and choose Safe Boot, which allowed us to disable possibly troublesome startup items when curing boot problems, a very valuable feature?

Also, with the Creators upgrade, we cannot set up a time schedule for creating regular Restore Points.

Both were long-standing routines going back years. I'm really annoyed. What's next for the chop?

Windows 10 update stopped now cannot update at all

The computer is still saying it is at Windows 7, but just will not complete the checking for update routine. When I tried the trouble shooting link it gave me a message about something being corrupted that I cannot now replicate as Microsoft fix it comes
up instead.

 

Windows 10 and my Touch Screen Monitor

I have tried using the hardware trouble shooting fix and the Human interface fix as identified with the other people who are having trouble with their touch screens after installing Windows 10. I have an ACER T232HL Touch Screen that worked beautifully
with windows 8. Now I have lost about one inch all the way around my monitor to a black screen and the touch screen does not work. It appears it uninstalled the drivers and ACER doesn't appear to have one for windows 10. I would like a fix. I used the
touch screen routinely. Thank you
