Windows 10: Windows 10 and hearing damage

For some reason audio doesn't work in all videos on chrome, but on edge it always works.

So, i often have to watch a video in chrome.

Whenever I do that there's a very high chance of this happening:

-Ear breaker pop up destroys my ear drums and I get insane headache for days to come


My solution is to set my system volume to 50 and Edge volume to 2%. However, windows resets these settings. I'd love to find a way to permanently limit edge's volume level to a low percentage.


There are several ear drum destroying popups and this just keeps happening.


Adblock takes care of these popups in chrome, but adblock doesn't work well with edge


Is there any kind of protection against hearing damage in windows 10? Is there any way to prevent this from happening?

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

I suggest you to go through the below methods and check if it helps.

Step 1:

I suggest you enable settings in the Playback Devices and check if it helps.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the speaker icon on your taskbar.
• Select Playback Devices.
• Click on the Playback Devices and right click on the
  Speakers/Headphones.
• Check mark on the Show Disabled Devices and
  Show Disconnected Devices.

If the issue persists the follow the below step.
