Windows 10: Windows 10 and Office 2019 Home & Student Font Issues

Has anyone discovered a font issue with their version of Windows 10 and the Office 2019 Home & Student software?

I have discovered (as have others) that there are missing fonts or when uploading third party fonts that they do not work properly with MS Word in Office Home & Student 2019. To date I have not found anyone who had their issue resolved through microsoft and similar threads have been left unanswered or unresolved.


Has anyone found this same issue and had it resolved by Microsoft? Is there a moderator for this board? I had a thread moved to this board by one of the moderators who felt that it would be answered here and so far...silence...I had more interaction on the other board under Word/Windows 10/ Office but the moderator said that it was a topic that would be better answered here.

Last year at Ignite, we announced Office 2019 – the next perpetual version of Office that includes apps (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Skype for Business) and servers (including Exchange, SharePoint, and Skype for Business). Today we’re pleased to share the following updates:

• Office 2019 will ship in H2 of 2018. Previews of the new apps and servers will start shipping in the second quarter of 2018.
• Office 2019 apps will be supported on:
  • Any supported Windows 10 SAC release
  • Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2018
  • The next LTSC release of Windows Server
• The Office 2019 client apps will be released with Click-to-Run installation technology only. We will not provide MSI as a deployment methodology for Office 2019 clients. We will continue to provide MSI for Office Server products.

 

Harrington font not working with Windows 10 and Office 2019 for Word

I have installed the Harrington font from Fontspace download and confirmed that it is installed on my windows 10. It works with both Paint and Notepad app programs, but for some reason fails to work with the Office 2019 Word program. The font is displayed
as an option in the text font styles dropdown menu but does not display properly in this style while typing or printing the document in the Harrington font.

Does anyone have a solution to this issue? Can Microsoft do something to get this font style to work properly with their windows 10 operating system and the Office 2019 version of the home and student package?

Hello Doug,

My Office is the Home and Student 2019 office. I don't have the 2 versions that you are seeing the Harrington font included. Is it just not part of the Office Home and Student package for Word 2019?
