Windows 10: Windows 10 and SD Card Reader

Hello,

In windows 7, I was able to insert my sdcard into the usb reader, and Windows would automatically save any new on the sdcard into a created folder title with the current date within a predesignated folder on my PC. I could set this all up so it would happen automatically every time I put the sdcard into the reader.

It would also give me the option to delete the new files from the sdcard at the same time after the transfer.

Can someone in the know show me how to replicate this very process in Windows 10, as the way it currently does it, I am unable from what i know, to have this automated.

Boot from SD card Reader?


It likely depends on what the BIOS thinks the device is? If it shows up like a USB thumb drive it should work. If it requires drivers to even be detected it won't.
I know I wish I could boot from the built in SD Card reader in my laptop but the BIOS does not even see it. It's not listed as a boot option even with a bootable SD card in it.
