  1. Windows 10 and two fairly complicated tax returns were just about completed. HELP!!!

I recently installed Windows 10 on my HP laptop and was just working on income tax returns on UFile which I just installed yesterday. I left my laptop on for a few hours during supper time and when I came back to my laptop, I had the message « Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately. » Unfortunately, the laptop seems to be frozen on that screen. I have no cursor, therefore no way to click on Continue or Quit. I have turned the laptop off but when I turn it back on, and sign in, I end up right where I left off with no access to any other options, with two fairly time extensive tax returns that I can’t access. HELP!!!

    :)

Windows 10 and two fairly complicated tax returns were just about completed. HELP!!!

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Windows 10 and two fairly complicated tax returns were just about completed. HELP!!! :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
