    Windows 10 Asking For Dot Net Already Installed


    Hello-


    I have a desktop with Windows 10 Professional 20H2, I am installing an application that ask for .Net 2 / 3.5 to be installed.


    .Net 4.5 is installed and the stand alone version of .Net 3.5 will not install, any ideas?


    Also, does anyone know where the full .net 2 / 3.5 standalone non-internet version is?

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

    Hi,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community and thank you for your interest in Windows 10.

    I suggest you to follow the below steps to check whether the .NET Framework 3.5 has been installed or not.

    • Press Windows+X and then select programs and features.
    • On the left hand side click on the option “turn windows features on or off”.
    • Check whether the “.NET Framework 3.5” has been checked or not.
    • If not check then I suggest you to check it and then install it.

    Why isnt NET 3.5 installing on Windows 10?

    Hi Josh,

    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

    To understand the issue better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

    • Is the .Net framework feature turned on in Windows features?
    • Since from when are you facing this issue?
    • Currently on which build is your Windows 10?
    I would suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    • Press Start and type Turn On or OFF Windows Features.
    • Select it. Search for the .Net Framework and check if the feature is Turned on.
    • Check mark the .Net Framework
      to turn on the feature.
    • Restart the machine and check installing the latest version.

    Download the latest version of .Net Framework : .NET Framework 4.6.1
