  1. Windows 10 Audio Crackles On All Audio Devices Whenever CPU is Used But Not Windows 7

Goddammit I'm actually warming up to Windows 10 but I can't use it for the only thing that matters to me - Making and listening to music.

I have Googled myself silly and it appears there are a lot of people who have the same problem, most suggest it's the way Windows 10 doesn't give audio timely access to the CPU.

I've tried lots of suggested fixes, but none of them have worked.

I have a dual boot PC - 2 SSDs, one with Windows 10 and the other with Windows 7.

With Windows 7 the audio is perfect on each of my audio devices, Delta 1010LT, Realtek and Nvidia HD Audio.

On Windows 10 whenever I load a web page, decrypt a file, open an application etc the audio makes a horrible crackle - By horrible I mean horrible for someone who makes music, but I'm starting to think most people don't notice it despite being common with Windows 10

Latencymon finds no problems at all.

If you can be bothered, do me a favour and play some music with headphones on and open some fairly heavy web pages, a few tabs and load up bookmarks and refresh the page and listen to see if your music makes slight glitching sounds.

I didn't want to make this help post but honestly it's been years and still no solution -

Clean installs, Win 10 1809, 1903, 1909, enhancements disabled and all that standard stuff -

And remember my Windows 7 SSD plays sound perfectly so it's not my hardware.

    Z270-HD3 MB, 7700k, 16G 2133 ram, RTX 2080 Super, Delta 1010LT, 850 watt gold psu.

Is this really a problem with Windows 10 that people just don't notice -

Can you play music, load web sites etc on WIn 10 with out subtle glitches in audio if you listen carefully -

Or have you just not noticed?

Are some of us just screwed because I have never found any solution other than boot into Windows 7 -

I'd rather use 10 I've got it optimized nicely if it wasn't for this.

Do I just uninstall Realtek High Definition Audio in the device manager? Or is there more to it?

If you're using Realtek, I actually have the least problems using Microsoft's generic Windows 7+ HD Audio driver. I get crackling with Realtek's driver.
