Windows 10: Windows 10 Audio poor compared to Vista

The sound quality on my Windows Vista system is sharp, speedy, clear and detailed. On my new windows 10 computer, using the same speakers, the audio does not match the clarity of the Vista system. The Windows 10 system does have clear audio but its deeper and seems more geared for voice audio. I have since put in a new sound card to bypass the onboard asus audio, which has gold audio capacitors. There is no improvement to match the Vista sound quality.I think Microsoft has sought to reduce and control the dynamic range with some sort of noise reduction, this goes against peoples free choice an

Poor audio quality after upgrading to Windows 10

If the Windows Audio service does not start and you get the error
Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start, then make sure that the following services are started and their
Startup Type is set to Automatic.

Method 3: I recommend you to install all the pending updates on your device and check if it helps.

Steps:

• Connect to the internet.
• Press Windows key and type updates.
• Click on Check for updates.
• Under Windows Updates, click on Check for updates.
• Try to install the updates being shown.

Everyone that post ids, need just do these steps and you will be good. I kinda tired of keep on uploading the inf. file

1.Go Open up device manager
2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
4. Right click and hit update driver
5. Browse my computer for driver software
6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
10. Click Next and Yes
additional if you want dts audio and others, install it now before next step.
After it is done, restart the PC

You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.
