Windows 10 Auto Brightness on Desktop

Not sure if its the right place.

I recently just built a new PC after my 6 years old gaming Desktop died on me.

    i9 10900k
    32GB Ram
    GTX 1660 Super 6gb
    Windows 10 64 bit 2004

Problem with it is the Auto Dimming on my screen (which i dont have such issue back than with my old PC on Windows 7.)

    Solution i tried.

Changing regedit key for intel for FeatureTestControl to 9250

Nvidia Control Panel change to use Nvidia settings and also change to 0-225 Full

    Delete all color management profile.

Checked Power Option but there isnt adaptive brightness or any brightness related option for me in the advance settings under display or intel.

The screen im using is a Samsung 40inch UHD TV. and yes i disabled all the eco mode since day one.

Would really appreciate if anyone has any idea or solution to this issue as when ever i'm watching a video on youtube or movie, or even playing games. the brightness just keep changing itself dimming and brightening up again according to the scene or background of the picture.

  2. Auto brightness

    Hi Ajit,

To better assist you with the auto brightness issue, please answer the following questions:

    • Which Windows version is currently running on your phone?
    • Are you getting an error message?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

    Regards.

    Windows 10-Cancel Auto Brightness

Kalpana, the fix you gave was windows 8. Did not work for Windows 10 which is what I'm having issues with.

Tried that Windows 8 fix twice for Windows 10. complete fail.

    Any other suggestions?
