    Windows 10 Automatic Repair - Endless Loop Upon Start Up


    Hello - I have a help question relating to when I try starting up my desktop PC. I get 3 message screens


    1. Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We are just collecting some error info and then we'll restart for you.


    2. Automatic Repair couldn't repair your PC. Press advanced options to try other options to repair your PC or shutdown to turn off your PC.

    Log file: C:\windows\System32\Logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt


    If I click "start over" the same error loop occurs and if I click or "advanced options" I get this:


    3. Choose an option

    Continue note: this doesn't work as I go back to the first screen referenced above

    Use a Device

    Troubleshoot

    Turn off your PC


    Should I select "Troubleshoot" or "Use a Device"? If I choose Use A Device should I be using a USB drive or network connection or something else to fix this? Secondly can you please lay out step by step what I need to do here?

    Stopcode automatic repair endless loop.

    I am unable to start up in safe mode. I go through the process to either by the automatic repair or even by dos prompt and it will reboot but then say "my PC ran into an unexpected problem and has to restart" it will then reboot and go straight to the
    automatic repair. Hence the endless loop

    Let us try these methods.

    If you have created a Windows restore point before the Automatic Repair loop occurs, you can perform a system restore to cope with the issue.

    Step 1. Choose "Advanced options" in the blue screen and then navigate to "Troubleshoot" > "Advanced Options" > "System Restore".

    Step 2. Choose a restore point to restore your computer to the state.

    Step 3. Wait until the restore process finishes and then restart your computer.
