Windows 10: Windows 10 background "Set to monitor 3" duplicated 3 times

I'm having issues with the set background setting in windows. I have 3 monitors set up and I was able to set 3 different wallpapers on each, now all 3 set-ups just say "set to monitor 3" and set to all monitors. I check the settings for display and it detects that their is 1,2,and 3. I've unplug the others to just leave my main then it'll say set to monitor 1....but 3 times. Then plug in 2 same thing just says 2 instead of 1, and repeat when i plug in 3. I've uninstalled the monitor drivers and replugged them back in. I'm running windows 10 2004 and check my drivers are up to date, but no error comes up when scanning. Not sure what else I've installed windows again with keeping all my files, no changes.

How to duplicate 3 displays in Windows 10?

I'm running a setup with 1 monitor and 1 computer with an RX470 where they are connected with 3 cables: DVI Dual Link, HDMI and DP. Both Windows and the AMD software correctly detect these connections - as 3 monitors. I switch between the input type via a button on my monitor. The problem should be the same with 3 different monitors and any connection types.

Windows allows me to:

• Disable any of them.
  
• Extend any of them.
  
• Duplicate any 2 of them.
  

However, I want to duplicate all 3. I read a bit around other sites and it seems to be a limitation of Windows 10, but I didn't find a definitive source. Some suggest that you have to use additional hardware like a splitter.

How to duplicate 3 (or more) displays?

 

Windows 10 with 3 Monitors

No, Windows 10 is not allowing me to extend my desktop to a 3rd display.

I understand how to set up 3 monitors, and it was working fine in Windows 7. Windows 10 shows all 3 monitors, but only allows me to use 2 at a time. From my reading through these forums and other searches, it looks like many people are having this same issue.

I am using 2 DVI monitors and 1 HDMI; not a DisplayPort. It looks like people can get 3 or monitors working with a DisplayPort, but I haven't seen any solutions to getting 3 standard monitors functioning in Windows 10. Are there any other suggestions or
fixes from Microsoft for this?

 

(4K DP, 1440p DP, 1200p DVI-D) Triple monitor setup; 2 monitors have the same background when background is set to slideshow shuffle

My setup:

• CPU: Intel Core i7-3770
• GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition, fully updated drivers
• OS: Windows 10 Pro v1803, fully patched

Steps to reproduce:

1. Connect the monitors as in the title
2. Set wallpaper background to shuffle in Windows Settings

What happens:

2 of the monitors (always adjacent to each other) have the same background.

What should happen:

All 3 monitors should have different backgrounds.

Anyone ever seen this before? Any ideas?
