Windows 10: Windows 10 - Background Slideshow - Not showing sub-folder Photos

Most everyone who has photos organizes them in sub-folders under the "Pictures" folder. In Windows 7, you could set the Background Slideshow to the "Pictures" folder and it would randomly show photos from any/all sub-folders included under the "Pictures" folder. Now in Windows 10 - you can no longer do this. Why? Having all photos within the "Pictures" folder display (even if they are within sub-folders) is a fantastic feature! Why did this go away? Can Microsoft bring this back? PLEASE bring it back!

Photos slideshow

I understand the inconvenience that you are unable view the photos in slideshow as it repeats after few photos and need to know “How can I change this to show a continuous and non-repeating slideshow?”. We will help you to

  Did you try to change the folder location and check?
  

I suggest you to follow the below steps:

Step 1: If the photos folder is located on the desktop, try to create another folder and copy all the content to the newly created folder and add this folder for slideshow and check.



Step 2: Try to create new folder if different location and copy all the content to the newly created folder in different location and add this folder for slideshow and check.

Background Slideshow not using Pictures folder

I'm using Windows 10 Home, I have changed to Background to be a slideshow -> when I select the "albums" for the slide show, it will only allow a single sub-folder within the c:\users\username\Pictures -> how can I use all the photos in all of the subfolders
of the Pictures folder? As the screensaver photos do.

 

Background Slideshow no longer scans sub-folders

After an upgrade to 16299.248 the slideshow system no longer scans into sub-folders. By default the top-level folder is "Pictures" but if there are no images directly in that folder it won't run at all. Previously it would scan the sub-folders regardless
if there were any photos in the top-level folder.
