Windows 10: Windows 10 backup error code Ox800706BA or 0x800706BA

Hi I am a new member. Started using Microsoft backup in Windows 7.
I upgraded to Windows 10 and carried on backing up with no problems.
Recently backups have failed with the above error code.

Knowing what the code means would be great, provided I am savy enough to understand it *sarc

Windows 10 build 1803 - windows backup fails about 40% done with error code 0x800706BA - RPC server not available.

I checked but RPC server is running.

Any suggestions to fix this? Backup used to work on build 1704.

 

Error Codes 0x800706BA and 0x80070057 during Windows Backup

I have run into an issue trying to backup my computer to an external hard drive. I have tried on different externals and the same problem occurs.

At first I was hit with Error Code: 0x800706BA.

I went into the Services window and made sure both the Remote Procedure Call Service and the Volume Shadow Copy were running.

I was then hit with Error Code: 0x80070057.

I tried running the backup again a third time and was then hit by the previous Error Code 0x800706BA even though RPC and Volume Shadow Copy were running.

I am on Windows 10 and on a Homegroup.

I've tried calling and chatting with Microsoft and they keep shuffling me to different departments.

Any help would be appreciated.

Backup has stopped working. Error Code 0x800706BA

Ever since I returned from my last trip with my portable hard driving, my backup program will no longer work. I plugged in the hard drive last night think it would just work as always; but this morning I got the above error code 0x800706BA. I've searched
and searched and cannot find a current answer. My issues has nothing to do with updating windows 10; it's running my normal backup schedule.

Hope someone has an answer.
