  1. Windows 10 backup

I am trying to use Windows 10 Backup. I open the Windows Settings box and choose 'Update and Security'. I then select 'Backup' from the left side menu. Under 'Backup using File History', I click on 'Add a Drive' expecting it to select the drive I used to use for my backups, a WD drive labeled J: which works just fine for everything else I use it for. It searches and comes back with 'No Usable Drive Found'. I believe I made a mistake in erasing the old File History directory 4 years old before trying to store a new one but I don't see any reason that it shouldn't be able to start fresh. And there is plenty of space for a backup, so that is not the problem. 'Image Backup' worked just fine earlier today for storing on the J: disk.

I also tried 'More Options', then 'Advanced Settings' to try and recognize the J: Drive, but it couldn't find it either.

And just for extra info, because I was having trouble with Win 10's backup, I tried Windows 7 backup. It also fails. After selecting everything I want to do and trying to start the backup, a window pops up with the title 'Set up backup' which contains the error STATUS_WAIT_20x80070002 which doesn't mean a thing to me.

I really don't care about the Win7 Backup. I would just like to get the Windows 10 Backup to recognize my disk so I don't have to manually copy all the files over.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
