Windows 10: Windows 10 Backup

Can someone suggest a backup utility other than Windows 10 that works and is simple to run? I can't believe the backup utility in Windows 10 is so pathetic. I just did a backup and when I look on the external drive I'm backing up to, I don't see some of the files in my videos directory. I have a lot there and I want to back them up to an external drive so I can remove the ones on my C drive. But when I compare what's on my C drive with what is on my backup drive MANY of my video files are missing.


Plus, I can't believe that Windows 10, when it does do a backup, doesn't provide ANY information that even a simple, backup routine written by a beginner programmer would normally provide. Things like status GB backed up, GB remaining or some % complete display. Unbelievable how poorly something as important as backups has been implemented in Windows 10. I haven't done any research but perhaps the reality is it was done on purpose so people have to go and buy an additional product. I wonder if Microsoft sells such a product.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
