windows 10 being super unresponsive and laggg

yesterday my laptop was fine and all was working as usual. i get up the next day, and its as if my pc is having a cardiac arrest. some apps arent loading, severe mouse delay, browser is taking up insane amounts of my CPU and some applications such as games literally wont open.

when i close all applications my cpu/ram usage is very low and even then theres extreme mouse delay and overall unresponsiveness. this leads me to believe that my cpu/ram isnt at fault, but maybe a virus or unclean fans

a nudge in the right direction would help thanks windows 10 being super unresponsive and laggg :)

  2. Windows 10 super slow and unresponsive

    Hi,

The slow or unresponsive performance of Windows 10 may be due to a third-party program or other factors like outdated drivers and system issues. For us to better assist you, we would like to ask for additional information. Please answer the following:

    • Aside from manually shutting down your laptop, have you also made any recent changes or installed updates prior to this issue?
    • What build and version of Windows 10 are you using?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
    • Have you encountered an error message/code?

We hope to hear from you soon.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .
