Windows 10: Windows 10 being unable to connect to stay connected to a specific WiFi network

Recently, my Windows 10 laptop has been having trouble connecting to my home WiFi, however it can connect to other WiFi stations absolutely fine. It has been able to connect to this network before without issue, but recently it either doesn't show up when I scan for networks, or, when it does it either won't connect or disconnects five minutes after. I've tried everything from updating adapters to restarting the wifi box, and no one else is having issues with this network, anyone had a similar issue?

Unable to see a specific WiFi Network in list

I have Windows 8.1. I can see the WiFi networks of everyone in the vicinity. However, am unable to see the WiFi network installed in my home.

The WiFi Network that am unable to see is a new connection. This new connection is seen by all devices (Mobiles etc) but it is.not getting displayed in my Windows 8.1 list.

I have seen other threads on the issue which recommend checking WLAN Autoconfig etc. And have tried those steps too. But there is no change in the outcome.

Can anyone please suggest any solution that migjt work. I am not willing to format my Laptop.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

hide specific Network connection adapter from Network list

Hi Mr @Brink ,

Is there a way to hide specific "Network connection adapter" from the "Network" list in system tray (network icon list)?
I have 3 network adapters, Ethernet,WiFi and Microsoft KM-Test Loopback adapter (name as KeyShot). Whenever I disable Ethernet and WiFi adapter, KeyShot adapter appears as an Unidentified network (SS below). I know I can hide it by disable the adapter, but I don't want to disable it because Keyshot app needs that network adapter to work on Win OS.







I want the network list be shown as SS below (I want to hide just KeyShot adapter from the list):




OS: Win 10 Enterprise x64, v2004 (B19041.423)

 

Unable to connect to a specific Wi-Fi network in Windows 10

I have been contacting Microsoft Support for the past 2 days to find a solution for this issue. But no one seems to know a fix. Hence I am forced to post this question, even though I know there have been similar posts earlier.

I am unable to connect to a specific Wi-Fi network in my windows 10 pc. I am able to connect to that network with devices using other OS (like Android). I am able to connect to other Wi-Fi networks in my pc as well.

Please note that I am unable to connect to this specific Wi-Fi network in my windows phone as well, which runs on Windows Phone 8.1.

I have tried updating the adapter driver and used the windows troubleshoot. Both did not find any issue.

I received a response from one of the Support executives with 3 suggestions, and none of them fixed the issue.

Adding them here for reference.

Method 1: Run network troubleshooter.

Method 2: Configuring DNS server address:

Network and Sharing Center --> Change Adapter Settings --> Click the Wi-Fi connection you want to configure.

Could not proceed with this step as the specific Wifi network does not exist in the list

Method 3: Try resetting TCP/IP and check if it works.

On Command Prompt (admin) and Reboot the computer.

netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt
