Windows 10: Windows 10 Black screen

I have today installed the latest Windows 10 update, since which time when I log in all I get is a black screen. I have tried to follow all the Troubleshooting guidance provided by Microsoft, however when I move into Safe mode I cannot type “Device Manager” in the search box as however hard I try, when I move the cursor over the search box it does not allow me to click into it and type. PLEASE HELP.

Black Screen after Log on


Computer boots to windows log on,have no password here.After a minute on log on it go to a black screen,stays there forever. I can get to Task Manager from black Screen,lost on what to do next. Just want my Windows 10 back, not sure what caused this problem. Any Suggestion on what my next step should be?*Sad
