Windows 10: Windows 10 black screen

I can boot up normally, but as soon as my home screen appears and I open a program, if I minimize it, my back ground is all black and does not show my desktop apps. I have uninstalled any video drivers and that did not help on reboot? I still get the same scenario. I did a restore point to a week ago and got the same results. Any help would be appreciated. I can get to task manager to run commands. I do NOT want to completely reinstall my windows app if it can be avoided, please help.
