Windows 10: Windows 10 Bluetooth Driver for Heaphones Stereo Download

HiI have a pair of Sony WH-1000XM4 Bluetooth headphones, which since I reinstalled Windows 10 last month, have only been able to connect in Hands-free Audio mode and not in Stereo. Consequently my headphones are unusable as the audio on Hands-free Audio is very poor quality , I believe due to the limited Bluetooth bandwidth to handle the mic and stereo audio, thereby transmitting in mono. I have downloaded all the Dell Alienware R1 2014 drivers from the Dell website but cannot install Intel Wireless 7260 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth DriverHowever I have installed Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and upgr

Edit: This is a dongle with old BT version I see now, but I'm sure you can find a Asus BT4.0 version.

@aasim1111 I have this one, it doesn't show that it supports A2DP in the specs but I think it'll work, otherwise send a mail to Asus and ask.

Bluetooth in windows 10

My computer specs are as listed in the profile. I think all of you guys are correct. I don't have built-in Bluetooth in mobo.

I contacted skull candy headphones and thy have told me if I do not have built-in Bluetooth, I would need a dongle which supports at least a2dp. I do not know what the heck that means. I have a feeling I would need more than a cheap dongle.

Anyone suggest some a2dp adapters. I searched but don't know what a2dp is so couldn't make a decision

 

Stereo Bluetooth Headphones do not reproduce stereo sound

Bluetooth 4.x headsets (headphones with microphone) have two modes:
1. Stereo headset speakers with NO microphone
2. Mono headset speakers with microphone

I see in the listing for your headphones it shows a microphone. Make sure your the audio is configured correctly so that you have stereo headphone speakers.

With your headphones connected with Bluetooth

Left-click on little speaker (bottom right on desktop)





You should see current speaker for computer
In this example headphones in stereo is selected





If you click on Headphones you will bring up all options





To see more…
Right-click on little speaker (bottom right on desktop)





Select Sounds from list





If you want Stereo Headphones but NO microphone

Select Playback tab
Make sure Headphones is the current playback device





Select Recording tab
Make sure Microphone array (or similar) is the current recording device
